I wanted to share with you one of my favorite affordable tools that I use regularly in my work. This inexpensive moisture meter has helped me identify countless hidden water issues before they turned into serious problems.
In today’s video, I’ll show you exactly how I use this handy device to check different surfaces in homes. You’ll see me testing tile in a Florida high-rise where I suspected water might be seeping in from outside. I’ll walk you through how to set the meter for different materials (drywall, masonry, wood), establish baseline readings, and recognize when the numbers indicate a potential problem.
Don’t worry – you don’t need to be a building expert to use this tool! As a homeowner, you have something professionals don’t: time to regularly check your space. This little device can be your first line of defense against water damage and mold.
